    Leafs hire Mark Hunter

The Toronto Maple Leafs fleshed out their front office Tuesday by hiring Mark Hunter as director of player personnel.

Hunter spent 12 seasons in the NHL, but has earned his management stripes the last 12 years as owner, vice-president and general manager of the OHL’s London Knights. (His brother, Dale, also played in the NHL and co-owns and coaches the Knights.)
Excellent, better decision making on pro-scouting will only be a benefit.

He's good at scouting Junior talent; don't the Leafs have enough of that?

A rink rat who puts emphasis on skilled players, not truculence. More Nylanders, fewer Biggs.
