    Lundqvist looks to remain undefeated outdoors with New York; Eichel aims to stay hot for Buffalo

    The Game

    The New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres will play in the 2018 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Citi Field on Monday.

    The Rangers have lost three of their past four games (1-1-2) after a 3-2 shootout loss at the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.

    The Sabres are last in the Eastern Conference but 4-3-4 after a 6-17-4 start, including a 4-3 overtime win at the New Jersey Devils on Friday.

    Players to watch

    Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist is 3-1-2 with a 2.10 goals-against average and .943 save percentage since Dec. 15. He is 3-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .933 save percentage in three NHL outdoor games.

    Sabres center Jack Eichel has 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in his past 12 games. His 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists) lead Buffalo.
