Report: SJ, E. Kane agree to long-term deal

The San Jose Sharks have reportedly agreed to a long-term deal with Evander Kane.

The Sharks hit a home run when they acquired Kane from the Buffalo Sabres at the trade deadline and it sounds like they're about to award him with a huge pay day. According to Sportsnet's Irfaan Gaffar, the deal is believed to be in the seven-year, $7 million per season range. The 26-year-old had nine goals and 14 points in 17 games with the Sharks. He then added another four goals and one assist in nine postseason games. If this report is true, the conditional pick that went from San Jose to Buffalo would become a first-round pick in 2019 instead of a second-rounder.

Oh wow! 7 years at 7m

I hoping for San Jose, that this doesn't come back to bite them. He does look good for the Sharks though, I'm just not sure about the price and length of contract.
