    ISLANDERS (3-4-1) at FLYERS (4-6-0)

    1 p.m. ET; SN, NBCSP, MSG+, NHL.TV

    The Game

Michal Neuvirth will make his season debut for the Philadelphia Flyers, who are looking for their first win in three games, when they host the New York Islanders at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.

The 30-year-old goalie has been out since sustaining a lower-body injury during the preseason. As part of a conditioning stint with Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League, he made 31 saves in a 7-3 win against Hartford on Wednesday.

Goalie Robin Lehner will start for the Islanders, who are 1-3-1 in their past five games. It's the first game of a back-to-back for New York, which plays at the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.

    Players to watch
Islanders center Mathew Barzal scored four goals in four games against the Flyers last season, the most he had against any NHL team.

Flyers forward Claude Giroux has 49 points (17 goals, 32 assists) in 45 games against the Islanders, his most against any NHL team.

    They said it
"We had some chemistry going last year, played well together. We like playing with each other, we seem to know where each other are, we think the game similar. … People go back to last year, having a lot of success and hopefully we can do that." -- Islanders forward Jordan Eberle on returning to playing on a line with center Mathew Barzal

"We don't need a goaltender to go in and necessarily be the spark. That's not what we're asking. We're asking everyone to go out and do their job. Somebody's got to be the spark. Somebody's got to be the spark to push us in the right direction." -- Flyers coach Dave Hakstol

    Islanders projected lineup

Anthony Beauvillier -- Mathew Barzal -- Jordan Eberle

    Michal Neuvirth

    Brian Elliott

Scratched: Christian Folin, Jordan Weal, Calvin Pickard

Injured: James van Riemsdyk (lower body), Michael Raffl (lower body)

    Status report
Islanders coach Barry Trotz said Greiss will play Sunday. … Vorobyev could replace Weal in the lineup. He had been scratched the previous four games. … Van Riemsdyk, who hasn't played since Oct. 6, skated on his own before practice Friday. He was expected to miss 5-6 weeks.

    Stat pack

I think the only thing to say about that game is- Ouch!

Flyers struggling to play in their own building is a huge worry. It's starting to get messy

I think I might finally be coming around to the idea that Hakstol and the coaching staff needs review. It can't keep going on like this
