The Game

The New York Rangers will try to win their fourth straight game when they play the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center in the 2018 Discover NHL Thanksgiving Showdown on Friday.

The Rangers are 9-1-1 since Oct. 30. Henrik Lundqvist is expected to start in goal.

The Flyers have lost four in a row (0-3-1), including 5-2 to the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, when they trailed 4-0 in the first period. Philadelphia has allowed the first goal in all four games.

Calvin Pickard is expected to start in goal for the Flyers.

Players to watch
Rangers forward Filip Chytil has a goal in five straight games. The 19-year-old is the 20th teenager in NHL history to score in five straight.

Flyers center Sean Couturier has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in his past 10 games.

Status report
Quinn is hopeful Zuccarello will play after missing three straight games and six of the past seven with a groin injury. If Zuccarello can't play, the Rangers will have 11 healthy forwards and play seven defensemen. … McLeod could be out 4-6 weeks with a broken left hand he sustained Wednesday against the New York Islanders. … The Flyers recalled Goulbourne from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League on Thursday. They loaned Nicolas Aube-Kubel to Lehigh Valley.
