The Nashville Predators have traded PK Subban to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Steve Santini, Jeremy Davies, a 2019 second-round pick and a 2020 second-round pick.

The 30-year-old scored nine goals and posted 31 points in 63 games with the Predators this past season. He added one goal and three points in six playoffs games as the Predators were eliminated in six games against the Dallas Stars in round one.

Subban is entering the sixth year of an eight-year $72 million contract he signed with the Montreal Canadiens in 2014 and carries a $9 million cap hit per season. The Predators have retained none of Subban's remaining salary.

He spent the past three seasons with the Predators after being traded by the Montreal Canadiens in 2016 in exchange for defenceman Shae Weber.

Drafted 43rd overall in the 2007 NHL Draft by the Canadiens, Subban has 98 goals and 408 points in 645 career games as well as 18 goals and 62 points in 96 career playoff games with the Canadiens and Predators.
